PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Four alleged social media activists have been arrested in connection to getting money from others through fake Facebook and WhatsApp accounts, an official said on Sunday.
Police Spokesperson Mawlavi Ahmadullah Anas told Pajhwok Afghan News detained individuals originally hailed from Logar and were involved in fake social media activities for a long time.
He said they introduced themselves female and got worth 50,000 afs credit cards from others in the past one month.
“Police last week in Pul-i-Alam arrested four youth who on Facebook and WhatsApp created female accounts and got money from others, these people should be quickly introduced to judicial organs,” he said.
Local residents were also happy over the arrest of individuals involved in fake social media activists.
