Afghanistan also beats Philippines in wheelchair basketball

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan’s wheelchair basketball team also defeated the Philippines in the Asia and Oceania championship being played in Bangkok, Thailand.

Afghanistan Wheelchair Basketball Federation wrote on its Facebook page on Monday that the Afghan team defeated the Philippines 78-48.

The Afghan team had previously defeated New Zealand and Saudi Arabia.

Afghanistan is placed in group with New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates.
