KABUL (Pajhwok): More than 2,173 Afghan refugees have returned to the country after being forcibly deported from Pakistan during the past seven days, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said on Friday.
According to figures the ministry published on its X page during the past seven days, 2,173 refugees, totaling around 429 families, were forcibly returned to the country from Pakistan between January 11 and 17.
The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said 963 people or 129 families returned from Pakistan through Torkham crossing after being forcibly evicted.
During this period, 1,210 people or 237 families returned through Spin Boldak crossing.
