4 including pilot survive plane crash in Badakhshan

KABUL (Pajhwok): Pilot among four individuals onboard in Falcon 10 business jet have survived the crash in northeastern Badakhshan province, an official said on Sunday.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid on his Twitter handle wrote: “The Plane reported missing in Badakhshan province has been located in Aruz Koh area of Kuf Ab district. The pilot has been discovered by IEA search group according to reports, the pilot among 4 other individuals have survived the incident.”

He said: “The investigative team of the Islamic Emirate continues their efforts to search for and provide assistance to the remaining individuals is ongoing.

Earlier, the Ministry of Transportation and Civil Aviation (MOTCA) two people have been killed and four survived in a private Russian plane crash in Badakhshan province.

The private aircraft was traveling from India to Tashkent had reportedly crashed in the mountains of Zebak and Karan Wa Manjan districts.

The MoTCA on its Facebook page wrote that four people, including the pilot of the aircraft were alive and efforts were underway to find other passengers onboard.

But Khan Mohammad Haji Asad, head of the Governor Office, said the plane crashed in the Padio village of Kufab district.

He said two pilots were killed and four other passengers onboard were alive and they were currently with the security forces.
