150 acres of usurped state land reclaimed in Farah

FARAH (Pajhwok): State land measuring 150 acres has been freed from illegal occupants in Fararud district of western Farah province and four persons have been arrested in connection with the matter.

Farah Information and Culture Department in a statement said the committee concerned led by Fararud district chief Mullah Mohammad Sadiq Jihadmal had wrested back 150 acres of state land in Nawabad, Barakabad, Saidabad and Karkh Gozal villages from local powerful individuals.

The committee destroyed crops on the usurped land and sealed 40 houses built on the land.

Four people have been arrested and handed over to judicial bodies in connection with the matter.
