Leftover mortar shell blast kills 2 children in Samangan

AIBAK (Pajhwok): Two children were killed when an unexploded mortar shell they were playing with went off in this capital city of northern Samangan province on Friday, police said.

Police spokesman Hashmatullah Rahmani told Pajhwok the incident took place in Sahposh area of Aibak city this morning.

The two children, aged seven and 10 years, were playing with the unexploded ordnance that exploded and killed both of them.
