PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Nearly 238 community classes would be arranged for 6,000 students in the Azra and Mohammad Agha districts of central Logar province with the support of UNICEF, an official said on Sunday.
Education Department Spokesperson Shahpour Arab told Pajhwok Afghan News these community classes would be opened in coming solar year in which around 6,000 girls and boys would be provided with learning opportunities from class one to class three.
Arab said these classes would be held in villages where currently girls and boys are deprived of education due to different reasons.
Haji Bismillah, the resident of Mohammad Agha district, said hundreds of children in the remote areas of Mohammad Agha deprived of education.
He said with the opening of community classes this problem would be resolved to the greater extent.
Rahimullah, the resident of Azra district, said: “The residents of Azra district were keen to enrolled their sons and daughters in the new community classes.”
He said in the past no significant work was done to improve education in this area.
