LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Residents of southern Helmand province are demanding more distribution centres of electronic identity cards while local officials say they are striving to address the problem.
Only two ID card distribution centres are functional in Helmand province and they cannot meet the needs of the entire population.
Siddiqullah, a resident of Sangin district, who had come to Lashkargah city to obtain an electronic ID card, said the government should activate such centers in districts as well.
He added: "Every time we come from our district, we pay 1100 afghanis transport fare and 600 afghanis are charged for filling out . . .
