TRINKOT (Pajhwok): Senior official of the Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (MPVPV) has directed security personnel to refrain from arresting individuals without court order.

Mawlavi Raz Mohammad, head of the MPVPV military wing, during his trip to Uruzgan province told a gathering that all security personnel were bound to implement leadership’s orders.

He added no military personnel reserved the right to punish a person on his own.

He made it clear that only an authorized court had the right to give punishment to criminals, adding that military personnel should give serious attention to this issue.

He said personnel with less than 18 years of age were not allowed to be enrolled in the military and concerned officials violating this order would be referred to the court of law.

He said nobody has the right to do celebratory firing, use government machinery for personal purpose and allow corrupt people to work in government institutions.

Governor Mawlavi Mohammad Ali Jan Ahmad assured the MPVP delegation that all military personnel will ensure the implementation of leadership’s orders.
