3 detained over hunting rare birds, animals in Ghor

FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Three people have been arrested on the charge of hunting rare birds in Saghar district of western Ghor province, police said on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Maulvi Abdul Rahman Badri told Pajhwok Afghan News: “Police have arrested three people over hunting rare birds and animals in Saghar district”.

He said the detainees would be referred to the judiciary.

“Hunting rare birds and animals is forbidden, but people still hunt them illegally,” Badri added.

Police have previously arrested 18 people over hunting rare birds and animals in the province.
