China reaffirms support to Afghanistan’s higher education

KABUL (Pajhwok): Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Zhao Xing during a meeting with acting Higher Education Minister Mawlavi Nida Mohammad Nadim pledged support to Afghanistan higher education and universities teachers’ capacity building, an official said on Wednesday.

The Chinese envoy also renewed Beijing’s respect to Afghanistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Hafiz Zia Hashami, spokesperson for the Ministry of Higher Education, on his Twitter handle wrote that Chinese ambassador during the meeting renewed commitment to expanding relationship between the two countries.

China and Afghanistan have cordial economic relationship and cooperate in the area of agriculture, mining and trade, Chines envoy was quoted as saying.

Ambassador Zhao Xing pledged support to Afghanistan higher education sector and improving the capacity of universities teachers.

Acting higher education minister said: “Though out the history China stood with Afghanistan and today also Beijing supported and respected the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan self-reliance strategy and roadmap.”

Mawlavi Nadim asked all nations to provide support to Afghanistan on the bases of public demand and need.

Mawlavi Nadem hailed Chinese president acceptance of Afghan ambassador and termed the move a huge achievement.
