Daikundi man arrested after killing his son

NEILI (Pajhwok): A man has shot dead his son in the Meramor district of central Daikundi province, officials said on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Ghulam Ali Javed told Pajhwok Afghan News the man shot dead his son, who was addicted to drugs.

The incident took place in the Chahar Sad Khana area of the district yesterday, Javed added. The victim, 45, had been a drug addict for 25 years.

The alleged murderer, who was arrested by security forces, is currently under investigation.
