KABUL (Pajhwok): The UN International Children Emergency Fund (UNICEF) supported the provision of healthcare for over 300,000 people in remote areas of Afghanistan so far throughout the winter season.
On its Twitter handle the UN body said: “Winter in Afghanistan can be harsh. But in partnership with funds from @OCHAAfg @UNOCHA, UNICEF supported health workers in remote areas particularly affected by the cold weather. These health workers have provided care for over 300,000 people so far throughout the winter.”
