LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): The Public Health Department has sealed 68 health centers and pharmacies over non-compliance rules in Musa Qala district in southern Helmand province, an official said on Sunday.
Helmand Public Health Director Dr. Syed Ahmad Saeed told Pajhwok Afghan News that their monitoring team had monitored 74 pharmacies, 21 health centers and 17 private laboratories and government clinics during the past three days in the district.
He said about 32 pharmacies, 20 private health centers, six dental clinics, two midwifery clinics and eight laboratories were closed during the period.
He added health laws and rules were not followed in these health centers, pharmacies and laboratories.
The district health center was also closed due to some illegal activities and the monitoring process would be extended to other districts of the province as well, the official concluded.
