Education only way to develop country, stresses Stanikzai

KABUL (Pajhwok): Knowledge and education is the only way for a country to stand on its feet economically and politically, says Deputy Foreign Minister Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai.

Stanikzai made these remarks during the graduation ceremony of girls from a seminary in Kabul today.

He said: “No country can develop without knowledge, the only way forward whether its worldly or hereafter is knowledge so the doors of education should be reopened for all.”

“As stated before by Sheikh Sahib that education is incumbent on all (men and women) and no one can compromise on this and if anyone wants to discuss, then should refer to religious scholars and ulema,” he continued.

“The only way for a country to stand on its feet economically, politically, and scientifically and compete with the world is to promote knowledge. Our men and women should be adorned with the jewel of knowledge,” he added.
