Fire sweeps through health center building in Parwan

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): A fire swept through a health center building overnight in this capital city of central Parwan province, gutting equipment worth one million afghanis.

Parwan Public Health Department spokesman Wahidullah Noori told Pajhwok the fire broke out in Sayadan area.

He added the fire burnt the roof of the building, but people and guards were able to save most of the equipment.

He said despite rescue efforts, equipment worth one million afghanis were damaged in the blaze caused by electric short-circuit.
