KABUL (Pajhwok): A healthcare team from Bangladesh is operating on children with cleft lip at the Indira Gandhi Hospital in Kabul, says the Ministry of Public Health.
On its X handle, the ministry wrote the Bangladeshi team had arrived in the capital to conduct cleft-lip operation free of cost.
It added the health team would stay in Kabul for 10 days. Parents of children with cleft lip can register them with the Emergency Department of the hospital from Feb. 25 to 27 for operations.
Last year, an Afghan doctor living abroad told Pajhwok Afghan News he has operated on more than 6,000 children with cleft lip free of cost in Kabul and other provinces in the past nine years.
