Polio vaccination drive in 21 provinces to begin tomorrow

KABUL (Pajhwok): Polio vaccination campaign is being launched in 21 provinces of the country tomorrow (Monday), during which children under the age of five will be vaccinated.

In a post on X, Polio Free Afghanistan programme wrote that the vaccination drive would start on February 26.

The campaign will cover Kunduz, Takhar, Baghlan, Nuristan, Parwan, Kapisa, Kunar, Laghman, Kabul, Nangarhar, Khost, Paktia, Paktika, Ghazni, Zabul, Uruzgan, Helmand, Kandahar, Nimroz, Herat and Farah provinces.

It said: “Let's vaccinate all children under the age of five to eradicating polio in the country”.

Polio is a viral incurable disease that can be only prevented and eradicated by vaccination.
