PARAKH (Pajhwok): Public Health Department officials have seized and burnt six tonnes of low-quality and expired medicine in central Panjsher province, authorities said on Monday.
Public Health Director Hujatullah Mohammadi told Pajhwok Afghan News 48 types of spurious medicines had been collected from Panjsher’s health centres and pharmacies since the beginning of the year.
The torched medicine, weighing six tonnes, were worth about two million afghanis, the director said, without giving further details.
