KABUL (Pajhwok): Azerbaijan has voiced its willingness to cooperate with Afghanistan in cultural, economic and trade sectors.
At a meeting here, Azerbaijan Ambassador Ilham Mohammadov and Deputy Foreign Minister Sher Mohammad Abbas conferred on political, economic and cultural links.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi wrote on X the two sides also discussed the expansion of bilateral trade ties.
Stanikzai said the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) desired good relations with the world, including neighbouring and regional countries, and was trying to improve its economic situation.
For his part, the Azerbaijani ambassador praised the efforts of IEA for ensuring security, combating drug cultivation and trafficking and bolstering Afghanistan’s economy.
He added his country was ready for all-out cooperation with Afghanistan in cultural, economic and trade sectors.
