KABUL (Pajhwok): Turning a blind eye to atrocities against the Palestinians, the world has been harping on human rights violations in Afghanistan to denigrate the Islamic system, says the prime minister.

Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund made the remarks at a coordination meeting involving officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) at the Presidential Palace.

The head of the prime ministerial office, Mullah Abdul Wasi, said the meeting was aimed at bringing transparency and coordination to affairs of relevant government agencies and eliminating bureaucratic red tape.

Administrative Affairs Office head Noorul Haq Anwar said discharging responsibilities in an efficient manner was a good form of worship.

“Counseling is Allah’s order and the purpose of the Islamic system is to serve the people for the sake of Allah’s pleasure.”

In a statement from the Presidential Palace, the prime minister asked all officials to discharge their responsibilities properly and thereby strengthen the Islamic system.

Pointing to the ongoing situation in Gaza, he said the world was turning a blind eye to the atrocities against the Palestinians.

However, he regretted, the global community was levelling baseless allegations against IEA in the name of human rights to defame the Islamic order in Afghanistan.

Hasan Akhund instructed IEA officials to better perform their duties, focus on discharging their responsibilities, addressing public problems promptly and treating people well.

Akhund ordered government officials to ensure justice and caution and pay serious attention to the protection of public sector assets.
