Yaqoob attends defence exhibition in Qatar

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Defence Minister Maulvi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid has met Qatar’s deputy Amir besides participating in an international maritime defence and security industry exhibition of DIMDEX.

IEA spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the Qatari defence minister and his counterparts from a number of other countries were also present during the meeting.

Issues such as strengthening bilateral relations were discussed during the meeting, Mujahid added.

Earlier, the acting defence minister and Chief of Army Staff Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat had left Kabul for Qatar to attend the DIMDEX, a flagship event for the international maritime defence and security industry.

International industries exhibited their maritime, ground and aerial defence weapons and equipment at DIMDEX.
