Yaqub meets Qatari counterpart, talks strengthening ties

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Defense Minister Maulvi Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid and his Qatari counterpart have discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

Yaqub Mujahid and Army Chief Qari Fasihuddin Fetrat are in Doha, Qatar, to attend the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition (Dimdex).

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid wrote on his X page Yaqub Mujahid and Fetrat met with Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, who is also deputy prime minister.

In this meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Qatar.
