TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Security forces in central Uruzgan province have arrested a person named Abdul Mateen for deceiving people by impersonating as representative of the IEA leadership.
Ihsanullah Hamas, the governor’s spokesman, said that Abdul Mateen, a resident of Chora district, used to introduce himself to government officials and people as a representative of the leadership office of the Islamic Emirate. He would give recommendations and take bribe.
Mateen admitted he used nickname "Mullah Abdul Jabbar" to communicate with high-ranking officials, make recommendations to them, and extort money from them.
He accumulated a lot of money through the deception.
A resident of the province said Mateen had committed such actions during the previous rule of the Islamic Emirate.
