KABUL (Pajhwok): Over 350 tankers loaded with low-quality petroleum products were rejected last month, the Afghanistan National Standards Authority (ANSA) said on Saturday.
Total 8,662 tankers loaded with petroleum products examined during the last solar month at the country’s port in which 352 were rejected because of the below the standard quality of the product, ANSA wrote on its Twitter handle.
The source said total weight of the rejected low-quality fuel was 112,166 tonnes which had been stopped from being imported.
It is pertinent to mention that on the 16th of February, 30 tankers loaded with low-quality petroleum products imported from Iran were sent back.
