KABUL (Pajhwok): The Kabul municipality on Thursday initiated construction work on a recreation park that is estimated to cost 15 million afghanis in the Taimani area of Kabul city.
The Kabul municipality wrote on its X account that it wanted to establish a recreation park in Taimani area.
Seeking residents’ cooperation, the municipality’s greenery department director Maulvi Abdul Wakil Mutawakil said during the launch of this project that the municipality would address all problems in the city and would create more parks.
The park will have proper facilities and will be spread over 10,000 square meters of land. The park will have surrounding wall, paths, lawn, ornamental trees and flowers, Mutawakil said.
According to Mutawakil’s information, the Kabul municipality is constructing the park with financial assistance of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in four months.
The project will also generate employment opportunities for some people.
