2 detained over smuggling more than $200,000 to Iran

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Two persons have been arrested for smuggling more than $200,000 abroad via Islam Qala port in western Herat province.

In a statement, the 207 Al-Farooq Corps said intelligence forces arrested two persons on the charge of smuggling more than $200,000 to Iran via Islam Qala port today morning.

“The smugglers tried to smuggle $210,000 to Iran, but detectives and rapid response team of the 5th border brigade detained them”.

Relevant bodies are investigating the arrested men, the statement concluded.
