KABUL (Pajhwok): Russia is ready for any kind of cooperation in Herat-Boldak and trans-Afghan railway projects, says the Afghanistan Railway Authority.
In a post on X, the ARA wrote that the director of this authority, Mullah Bakht-ul-Rahman Sharafat, and a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs met with Ilya Kazakov, the deputy of Russian railway administration in Kabul on Thursday.
At the meeting, Sharafat said both countries should choose an effective way for rail transit which would be less costly.
For his part, Ilya Kazakov said the railway was the most important for Afghanistan in terms of connectivity, so the Russian Railways Administration was ready to provide all-out support to Herat-Boldak and trans-Afghan projects.
He also promised that his administration would provide Afghan youths with professional training in the field of railways.
