60 Mazar-i-Sharif tailoring shops closed over price violation

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): The Price Control Commission has temporally closed 60 tailoring shops in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital city of northern Balkh province, for violating the price list, a statement said on Wednesday.

The commission regularly monitored prices in the Municipal Districts of Mazar-i-Sharif to ensure the provision of quality services in line with the price list, a statement from the Governor House said.

Mohammad Aziz Aziai, head of the Municipality’s Markets Management section, said all shops in the city had been distributed with price lists and nobody had the right to violate them and charge the extra amount.

He said in the past few days 60 tailoring shops had been closed due to the price list violation.

He told shopkeepers to sell goods in line with the price list and if shopkeepers violated the price list, they would face legal action.

Some Mazar-i-Sharif dwellers hailed the distribution of price lists and stressed regular monitoring.

Allah Dad, the resident of Mazar-i-Sharif, stressed over regular monitoring of prices by the municipality officials.

It is pertinent to mention that besides Balkh price lists had been distributed in some other provinces as well.
