2 killed, 9 wounded in Ghazni traffic accident

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Two people were killed and nine others injured in a traffic accident in Qara Bagh district of southern Ghazni province, police said on Sunday.

Police spokesman Abu Khalid Sarhadi told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident took place in Askarkot area on the Kabul-Kandahar highway when a Hilux-type vehicle skidded off the road and overturned..

Sarhadi said two people were killed and nine others included women and children were injured in the accident.

Police evacuated the injured to the Muqor district hospital for treatment, he added. He had no information about the extent of their injuries.

But Public Health Director Dr. Rasoul Khan Nazari the injured who were in critical condition had been taken to Kabul for treatment,.
