LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): At least 64 people suffered casualties in 41 separate criminal incidents in Lashkargah and districts of southern Helmand province last month, an official said on Monday.
Information and Culture director Hafiz Abdul Bari Rashid told Pajhwok that 12 people were killed in violent incidents in Nawa, Musa Qala, Garamser, Kajaki, Marja, Babaji and Nawa districts and Lashkargah city and 52 others were injured.
He said the period saw two incidents taking place in Lashkargah in which one person was killed and three others were injured.
He said 14 people were injured in 10 incidents in Musa Qala, one person was killed and 13 others injured in 9 incidents in Marja, four incidents occurred in Nawa, leaving five persons injured and four persons were injured in Babaji district.
Three people were killed and four others injured in three incidents in Nawazd district.
Rashid did not provide information about how many people have been arrested in connection with these incidents.
