2 kidnappers held, child rescued in Herat

KABUL (Pajhwok): Two female kidnappers have been arrested and a captive child rescued in western Herat province, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said on Friday.

MoI on its Twitter handle wrote that the rescued child name is Fahima and she is five years old. She was kidnapped nine days ago by two female kidnappers from the 7^th Municipality District of Herat City.

The source said that the child was rescued on Thursday during a search operation. Two women had been arrested in connection with the abduction.
