Afghan Paralympic swimmer wins gold, bronze  

KABUL (Pajhwok): Armless Afghan Paralympic swimmer Abbas Karimi has won two gold medals and one bronze medal in the World Para Swimming Championship.

Karimi on his Facebook page announced his wins. He said he played in three categories. He won one gold medal  each in 50-meter butterfly and freestyle competitions and bronze medal in 50 meter backstroke.

“I thank my coaches for everything. Our final destination is the Paris Paralympic in the future”: he said.

In April, Karimi won gold medal in the World Series tournament in the US.
