PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): A child died and seven other people were were wounded in a traffic accident on the Kabul-Pul-i-Alam highway on Tuesday, an official said.
Police spokesman Ahmadullah Anas told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place when a corolla-type vehicle veered off the road and overturned.
He said a child was killed and seven others, including six women, were injured in the mishap.
The injured were evacuated to hospital with some in critical condition.
He blamed the accident on reckless driving.
Road mishaps claimed two lives and injured eight others during the first three days of Eid-ul-Fitr in the province.
