KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Public Health Minister Dr. Qalandar Ebad and Azerbaijan Ambassador Ilham Mammadov have discussed cooperation in the health sector, enhancing capacity of Afghan personnel and other topics of common interest.
At a meeting here on Sunday; they also conferred on Azerbaijan’s contribution to Afghanistan health sector, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said in a statement.
Ebad called Afghanistan-Azerbaijan ties essential for both sides and emphasised on all-round bilateral cooperation.
He said: “Enhancing the capacity of Afghan health personnel is one of our priorities as we pave the ground for building their capacity in various ways.”
For his part, Mammadov expressed happiness over joint cooperation in the health sector and promised Azerbaijan’s sustainable assistance to Afghanistan’s health sector.
