Man shot dead in Badghis, 5 thieves held in Ghor

FEROZKOH/ QALA-I-NAW (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shot dead a man and five thieves have been arrested in western Ghor and Badghis provinces, police said on Wednesday.

The Badghis police headquarters said in a statement unknown gunmen a man in Maqor district on Tuesday.

The statement did not provide further details about the victim, saying the killers managed to escape. Security forces, however, have launched a manhunt.

Separately, security forces arrested five thieves in Ferozkoh, the capital of Ghor, the provincial police spokesman said.

Abdul Rahman Badri told Pajhwok Afghan News the suspects were currently under investigation.
