Drugs producing lab destroyed, suspect held in Nimroz

ZARANJ (Pajhwok): A drug producing factory has been discovered and destroyed and one suspect detained in northwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Saturday.

Mullah Mohammad Ibrahim, Delaram district police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News security forces destroyed the drug producing and processing lab in Dahmazang area of the district during an operation.

He said 85 kilograms of F, 35kg powder and some materials and tools were also set alight at the facility.

He added one person was arrested along with a Kalashnikov in connection with the discovery.

The police official also asked people to refrain from cultivating, selling and producing drugs or face legal consequences.
