KABUL (Pajhwok): Relevant government authorities have predicted rainfall, snowfall, flash floods and a rise in the water level of rivers in the coming days in parts of the country.
The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) on its X account wrote: “There is a possibility of snowfall and rain with flash floods and thunderstorms in the provinces of Badakhshan, Takhar, Nuristan, Kunar, Laghman, Nangarhar, Kabul, Logar, Paktika and Khost tomorrow (Tuesday).”
According to the source the amount of rainfall in different parts of the country would be from 15 mim to 25 mim.
The Ministry of Water and Energy (MoWE) also predicted rainfall, snowfall and flash floods in different parts of the country in the coming two days.
A statement from the MoEW said: “Rain and snow are likely to be relatively heavy along with flash floods in the "Kabul" sea basin, and there is a possibility of flooding due to rain, melting snow and rising water levels along the rivers of Paktia, Khost, Kabul, Logar, Maidan Wardak, Panjshir, Ghorband, Kunar, Laghman and some related cities have been predicted.”
The ministry asked the residents of the mentioned areas to refrain from going near the banks of the rivers during floods or floods, and when there is a flood or the rising water level of the rivers, they will inform the downstream areas to prevent human casualties.
