KABUL (Pajhwok): At least six people have been killed and one wounded in an attack on a mosque by unknown gunman in western Herat province, an official said on Tuesday.
Mufti Abdul Matin Qani, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), told Pajhwok Afghan News the deadly incident took place on Monday night when a gunman opened fire on worshipers in Guzra district.
He said all victims were civilians. No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the overnight gun attack so far.
