GDT to digitalize car permits, driving license process

KABUL (Pajhwok): The General Directorate of Traffic will soon start digitalizing the issuance of vehicle permits and driving licenses in coordination with the Ministry of Interior (MoI) through public- private partnership.

The office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs wrote on its X handle: “The Economic Commission met on Monday and discussed various topics, including digitalization of the issuance of vehicles permits and driving license.

It added the General Directorate of Traffic was tasked with starting the process of digitalizing the system of permit and license as soon as possible through public and private participation and submit it to the Economic Commission for approval.
