Turkmen team in Herat to boost trade links

KABUL (Pajhwok): A delegation of traders and businesspeople from Turkmenistan on Saturday arrived in western Herat to enhance trade between the two countries.

Maulvi Bashir Mohammad Shirat, director of Commerce and Industry of Herat, said the Turkmen delegation, led by Naker Quli Anaqliif, the head of the Union of Tradesmen and Industrialists of neighboring country, arrived in Herat today.

He said the purpose of this visit was to address the trade, making agreements in various sectors and foster trade promotion between the two nations.

Meanwhile, Hamidullah Khadem, head of Herat’s Chamber of Mines and Industries, said that this delegation was supposed to visit Herat’s marble factories.
