Student guns down teacher inside class in Baghlan

PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): A high student shot dead his teacher inside the class in northern Baghlan province on Sunday, local officials said.

According to local sources, the incident occurred at Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan High School in Dand-i-Ghori district shortly after 10am.

Haji Mohammad Juma, a resident from Saqi village, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the teacher, Aliullah, was gunned down with pistol.

The provincial deputy police chief in a statement to Pajhwok said that Sharifullah killed his teacher in the school.

The statement said the student also got injured and was currently in hospital for treatment.
