5 people killed, 3 injured in Badakhshan traffic accident

FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Five people --- a woman, a child and three men --- were killed and three others critically injured in a traffic accident in northeastern Badakhshan province on Tuesday, an official said.

Police spokesman Ehsanullah Kamgar told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident took place this morning when a saracha-type vehicle veered off the road and plunged into the river in Barlas area of Shar-e-Bozorg district.

He said five people included one woman and a child killed and three others were killed and three others injured in the accident.

Police have pulled out the dead bodies and the injuries were evacuated to Shar-e-Bozorg district health center.
