KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan and Turkmen firms inked 10 contracts and two memoranda of understanding about construction materials, iron bars, paints, marbles and food, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced on Tuesday.
Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry Nooruddin Azizi met with Naker Quli Anaqliif, director of Turkmenistan Trade Union, in western Herat province, the MoCI wrote on its X handle.
Azizi said: “Good opportunities exist to expand trade and economic ties Afghanistan and Turkmenistan and both sides should take full advantage of them”
Without providing details, the ministry said Afghan and Turkmen firms signed ten agreements and two MoUs in the areas of construction materials, iron bars, paint, marble and food stuff.
The ministry pointed out that the contracts singing followed Aziz’s visit to Turkmenistan and his meeting with President Gurbanguly Berdi Mohammadov.
