LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): A three-day volleyball tournament featuring 17 teams concluded in Lashkargah City, the provincial capital of southern Helmand province, on Monday.
Deputy information and culture director Maulvi Sher Mohammad Wahdat told Pajhwok Afghan News the teams had been divided into groups.
He said the final was played between Azimi and Habibi teams and Azimi beat the opponents 2-1 and emerged victorious.
At the end of the three-day tournament, Volleyball Federation representative Hikmatullah Omari praised unity among the youth.
The winners, runners up and best players were given cups and prizes by the tournament’s organizers.
