2 drug labs destroyed in Uruzgan night raid

TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Security forces have destroyed two drugs producing factories in Chaharchino district of central Uruzgan province, an official said on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Bilal Uruzgani said anti-narcotics police destroyed the factories during an operation in Gorgin area of the district on Monday night.

He said about 1870 kilograms of ephedra plant was set alight in addition to processing items.

Uruzgani added poppy crop on 20 acres of land had also been eradicated in the area.
