KABUL (Pajhwok): Offices of 20 tourist companies in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, have been sealed due to the non-availability of legal documents, an official said on Tuesday.

According to the officials, the process of document inspection has been started and tourist companies without legal and valid documents will be closed.

Eid Mohammad Hanafi, the Tourism Section Director of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department, said on Monday the offices of 20 tourist and online services companies have been closed which worked without legal documents.

He said nobody would be allowed to work in these areas without legal and valid documents.

He said the process of documents inspection would continue until all companies get legal documents for their work.

Currently, a number of tourist companies with online services have been opened in Jalalabad City, some of these companies were without licenses and caused problems for the people.

Mohammad Anwar, a resident of Jalalabad City, said he registered for a Pakistani visa in different companies but he was deceived and was unable to get his visa.

However officials said that companies with legal documents could not do such violations because they had to submit their monthly report.
