FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Two people were killed and a third injured when a flying-coach plunged into the Harirod River in western Ghor province, police said on Tuesday.
Police spokesman Abdul Rahman Badri told Pajhwok Afghan News: “Last night, a flying-coach vehicle overturned and fell into the river. The van was swept away by river water from Herat province to Ghor’s Dar-e-Qazi area of Ferozkoh city”.
He said since last night one person had been stuck in the car until an intelligence department’s swimmer team pulled him out from the water today at 8:30am and evacuated him to hospital.
According to him, it remains unclear how many passengers were in the vehicle. The accident occured due to the driver’s recklessness and bad condition of the road.
