MAIDANSHAHR (Pajhwok): Sixteen drinking water supply networks have been constructed and rehabilitated in the five districts of central Maidan Wardak province, a statement said on Sunday.
At the cost of 37 million afs provided by UNICEF, these water-supplying networks were rehabilitated in the Sayedabad, Chak, Jaghato, Narkh and Behsud districts, a statement from the Governor House said.
Acting Rural Rehabilitation and Development Minister Mullah Mohammad Younis Akhundzada said: “The Islami Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) is committed to rehabilitation on equal bases and considering the people.”
Rural Rehabilitation and Development Director Mawlavi Wahidullah Rashid said: “In these projects nine were rehabilitated, seven new networks were established, one of these projects were implemented by the IEA budget and the remaining were implemented by the UNICEF, 1,512 homes, 24 mosques, 4 Madrassas and 4 schools would be benefited from these water supply networks,” he said.
