PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Islamabad believes that a peaceful, prosperous and stable Afghanistan is a strategic imperative for Pakistan.
In a written reply, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar told the National Assembly: “Pakistan has consistently remained engaged with the interim Afghan government.”
He said Pakistan was also in touch with neighbouring countries and the international community to achieve the objective of peace and stability in Afghanistan.
Dar, who is also deputy prime minister, acknowledged Pakistan was facing challenges in relations with India and Iran.
